About the job:

We seek a 5+ year agency media professional who has seen it all. Confident in their overall marketing and media knowledge and can talk to results they have provided their past clients. This person needs to understand awareness campaigns as well as conversion campaigns across multiple verticals. The media director position will manage all aspects of paid digital media for your specific clients. Typically, this means full ownership of the client relationship related to their media budgets. You will sell in and pitch new ideas, plans, and media channels. You will plan, manage, and buy your clients’ media. Sometimes, you will be ad operations and set up the campaigns in paid search, paid social and programmatic platforms. In other cases, you may manage the ad operations team. The position needs a deep understanding of building and managing platforms across all digital channels. Hands on keyboard experience is a huge benefit in this role. Must be able to discuss complex media strategies and find cost-effective solutions for your clients. Weekly and monthly reporting shows your campaigns’ benefit, success, or failure. You will work with a client team of account managers, social media managers, developers, and creatives to help bring the campaigns to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with client and agency teams to develop project/account briefs that: 
    • Define the business situation. 
    • Articulate the value proposition of the brand/product/service. 
    • Establish clear and measurable objectives. 
    • Create a deep understanding of the target audience within the digital channel. 
    • Drive understanding of emerging digital platforms and ability to leverage for the client. 
  • Being the consumer advocate on client accounts and throughout project development. 
  • Understanding key emerging digital trends and identifying opportunities to leverage them in service of the client. 
  • Educating client and internal teams on the value of digital channels, best practices, ongoing trends and evolutions. 
  • Coordinating with Primary/Secondary Research team as well as Digital Insights Group to inform brief and agency work. 
  • Working with cross-agency teams to ensure the development of cohesive marketing briefs, plans and programs. 
  • Providing value to clients by delivering strategic thinking enables iluminere to provide relevant and distinctive work. 
  • Supporting and presenting as part of new and existing business development. 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in an agency digital marketing environment. 
  • Experience and ownership of running $3mm+ annual media campaigns.  
  •  Specific experience in planning, research, insights or emerging media. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated success with client relationships, team management and business development. 
  • Interest in additional emerging media. 
  • Strong presentation skills (speaking and visual design) required. 
  • Dashboard design and reporting excellence.  
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize. 
  • Fortitude to stay calm under pressure. 
  • Specific and distinct knowledge concerning Facebook and Google ad platforms, Creating, building and managing campaigns directly in the platform.  
  • Vendor and software negotiations.
