Digital Technologist (Web & Integrations)
3+ Years of Agency Experience
Company Overview:
At iluminere, we’re more than a marketing and advertising agency. We’re a collective of driven talent and entrepreneurial spirits dedicated to creating meaningful impact for our clients, partners, employees and community. How are we different? We Outthink. We challenge. Everything we do is designed around impact. As we continue to grow, we seek a talented and passionate Technologist to join our dynamic team.
About This Role
We’re looking for a hybrid-minded digital technologist to join our growing development team—someone who understands the intersection of marketing, automation, and web development. You’ll be working across client projects to build websites, develop marketing emails, implement tracking systems, and help design automation workflows that make data flow smoothly and smartly across platforms.
This role is ideal for someone with a full-stack mindset who can code, think creatively, and communicate clearly—someone comfortable building in WordPress one day, setting up GA4 goals the next, and mocking up emails or flows in Braze or Mailchimp the day after that.
WHAT YOU'll DO:
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites (both single-site and multisite) using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Build responsive email templates for platforms like Mailchimp, Braze, and BeeFree.io.
- Create data automations and API-based integrations between client systems and 3rd-party tools.
- Collaborate with creative teams using tools like Figma to bring designs to life.
- Work with marketing teams to set up Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and GTM tracking implementations.
- Participate in SEO-focused projects, including basic schema, meta optimization, and technical SEO troubleshooting.
- Leverage AI tools for creative and operational efficiencies in marketing workflows.
- Join select client meetings to present ideas, explain implementations, or gather requirements.
- Explore and implement AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Midjourney) to streamline internal workflows, accelerate content development, and prototype creative ideas.
- Collaborate on AI-enhanced solutions for marketing automation, personalization, and performance optimization.
- Research and test emerging AI applications relevant to client services (e.g., customer insights, content generation, image enhancement).
- Contribute to the development of AI-informed internal tools that improve operational efficiency across departments.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- 3+ years of experience in a hybrid web/marketing development role.
- Strong experience with WordPress (themes, plugins, multisite structure).
- Solid grasp of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and PHP.
- Familiarity with email design and ESP platforms like Mailchimp, Braze, or similar.
- Experience building or managing automation flows, especially ones involving API calls or third-party integrations.
- Comfortable using and experimenting with AI tools in real-world agency workflows.
- Understanding of SEO fundamentals (especially technical aspects).
- Familiar with GA4 and GTM, including tracking setup and reporting logic.
- Comfortable working with Figma or similar design tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for both internal and client-facing contexts.
- Familiarity with using AI tools in an agency or marketing tech context (e.g., for copywriting, automation logic, or prototyping).
- Ability to evaluate AI outputs for quality, accuracy, and brand alignment.
BONUS SKILLS:
- Familiarity with Zapier, Make, or other low/no-code automation tools.
- Experience with Looker Studio, TapClicks or similar reporting platforms.
- Light backend experience (e.g., Python scripting for automation or data handling).
- Exposure to CRO (conversion rate optimization) tools or experiments.
- Experience working with AI APIs or building small tools with services like OpenAI.
Why Join Us
This is a high-impact role where your technical and creative instincts will be equally valuable. You’ll work closely with a lead (your “mentor/twin”) who thrives at the intersection of code, creativity, and client experience. If you’re the kind of person who loves building, automating, problem-solving, and working across multiple domains—you’ll fit right in.
